The Project Delivery Director's specific accountability include the provision of project management leadership across the projects, oversight of the compliance to the project charter, integrated project plan and schedule, regular reports and updates to stakeholders and executives.
Leads and drives successful and timely delivery of a portfolio of projects ranging between 30-40M a year where there is generally around 20 project executing concurrently.
Provides high level professional guidance to achieve agreed objectives. Employs best practice project management standards to the satisfaction of the project sponsors, key stakeholders and the user community
Displays leadership by continually motivating, encouraging and inspiring the development of strong, effective, efficient, ethical and professional teams with a clear focus on the delivery of planned outcomes and the continual development of the capabilities and capacities of the individual team members.
Contributes to the development and management of Project Charters, project plans, budgets, issue and risk management plans consistent with client’s corporate project management policy.
Control costs, review and improve project support system/tools and processes, and report regularly on activities, performance, trends and issues against plans and budgets.
Work in close collaboration with project team managers to contribute to continual project planning, scheduling, process development, decision making, resolution of issues, and the effective operation of governance mechanisms.
Responsible to ensure the Program Managers, Project Managers and Stream leads who are managing the various work streams (business architecture, technical architecture, development, communications, change management, User acceptance testing, legal, third party vendors etc) are undergoing effective cross stream planning, review and approval process of the high-level deliverable, and managing that key milestones, issues, risks across the programs/projects. The Director is ultimately accountable for ensuring project success by proactively removing roadblock, resolving issues which have been escalated by the project managers and developing plans to overcome potential delays or cost overruns.
Accountable to turn strategic project concepts into achievable plans, and manage the plans from requirements through design, development, implementation and transition to the sustainment organization.

- Project Initiation/opportunity assessment
- Project plan development and management
- Risk and scope management
- Quality management
- Change management and change requests
- Executing, controlling, reporting and closing
- Transition of the project to the sustainment organization
Ensuring the project management team is developing integrated project plans, ensuring accurate and appropriate inclusion of deliverables, milestones, resources, inter-project dependencies and progress reporting and following EPMO (enterprise project management office) standards.
Ensuring the project management team is adhering to and provide project financials reporting according to EPMS (enterprise project management support) standards
